These terms cover the TimeRecap app and cloud service, on the free Basic plan and on the paid Premium plan. By creating an account, you accept them.
The TimeRecap app at app.timerecap.com lets you set up your activities and clients, see your tracked time in a calendar and send it to the tools you use. The service is provided by eMindBrowser BV.
The TimeRecap device needs the app and our cloud to work. The device sends what you track to the cloud, and the cloud stores it, controls the device's LEDs and passes the data on to your integrations.
You need an account to use the app and the device. You must be at least 16 years old to create one, and the details you give must be correct.
Logins are handled by Auth0. Keep your login details to yourself, and tell us right away if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
When a business sets up accounts for its team, the business is responsible for those accounts, and for telling its team members how their time data is used.
The basic plan is free, for as long as you use TimeRecap.
Your plan only becomes a paid subscription if you choose one.
When an account moves from Premium to Basic, time entries older than 6 months are hidden, not deleted. They come back when you subscribe to Premium again.
Premium is billed monthly in advance, per user, through our payment provider Mollie. Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
Business customers see prices excluding VAT, consumers pay the price including VAT.
We announce price changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the new price applies.
You can cancel Premium at any time in your account settings, or by emailing us. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for, and you keep Premium until then. We don't refund partial months.
As a consumer, you can withdraw from your first Premium subscription within 14 days, without giving a reason. If you asked us to start Premium right away, we refund what you paid minus the days you used.
After you cancel, your account moves to Basic and your device keeps working.
You may not: • share one account between several people • try to access other people's accounts, our systems or data that isn't yours • copy, decompile or reverse engineer the app, the cloud service or the device firmware, except where the law allows it • overload or disrupt the service, for example with automated requests • use TimeRecap for anything illegal
If you use TimeRecap to track other people's time, such as your employees', you must tell them and have a legal basis to do so. TimeRecap is made to track time spent on activities and clients, not to monitor people without their knowledge.
Your time data belongs to you, or to your business. We only use it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. When a business tracks its team's time, the Data Processing Agreement applies.
You can export your time entries at any time, in the app or by asking us.
When you delete your account, all your data is deleted immediately, so export anything you want to keep first. Copies in our backups are deleted automatically within 7 days.
TimeRecap can send your time entries to other tools, such as Clockify, Toggl and Zapier. You choose which integrations to turn on, and you can turn them off at any time.
These tools are run by other companies, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. We only send them the data the integration needs. We aren't responsible for their availability, and an integration may change or stop working if the other company changes its service.
We aim to keep TimeRecap available around the clock, but we can't guarantee it will never be interrupted. Where we can, we plan maintenance outside Belgian office hours and announce longer maintenance in advance.
For help, email contact@timerecap.com. We reply within 2 working days.
The app, the cloud service and the firmware, including their design and code, belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use them for as long as you have an account, and to use the firmware with your TimeRecap device.
The TimeRecap name and logo belong to us.
You can close your account at any time in your account settings, or by emailing us.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you and giving you a chance to fix it. We may act without warning when that is needed to protect the service, other users or to comply with the law.
If a Premium payment fails, we let you know. If it stays unpaid, your account moves back to Basic. We don't delete your data for it.
If we ever stop the service, we tell you by email at least 12 months in advance, and you can export all your data.
We do our best to keep TimeRecap working and your data safe. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost revenue or time that wasn't tracked or billed, unless it is caused by our intent or gross negligence.
For business customers, our total liability for the service is limited to what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
We keep improving TimeRecap, so features can change. We won't take away the core of Basic: tracking with your device.
We may update these terms from time to time for objective reasons, such as changes in the law or in our service. We recommend that you check them regularly. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes go to the courts of the judicial district of our registered office.
As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can also go to the courts there.
